Part of Friday evening’s schedule at the conference this year is a book discussion (and pizza party.) Do you have a favorite book about historical interpretation? Are there books or articles that you have utilized in creating your character? Bring them with you for a show-and-tell so we all get a chance to browse through past and current offerings in our field, and share your own experiences.
Then we will have a more in-depth discussion on Stacy Roth’s Past into Present: Effective Techniques for First-Person Historical Interpretation. Bring your questions, opinions, and experiences as they relate to Roth’s unsurpassed work. We will also discuss changes in First Person Interpretation, training, and visitor response since Past into Present was published.
